E&M's Wedding Part 1

I first met {M} in 2013 when she booked her wedding with me, but I didn't meet her man until about a month before the wedding. They are so cute together! When I got there the day of the wedding, {M} was having her make up done, so I got a couple candids, some dress shots, then wandered over to the reception site to get a few images of the decorations while there was some down time. They told me this would be an intimate ceremony and were keeping things pretty low key, so I was impressed with how perfect everything was. Their wedding was proof that you don't have to go big or go home. It was a simple, small event that was absolutely beautiful. Here are a few shots of the day. Part 1.

So this may look like a serious shot of the groom, but he was being pretty silly. I think he was a little giddy about getting married. Just a little.

And clearly she isn't the silly type.

I love this shot. The ceremony was just about to start and her friend was fastening the veil onto her hair. You can just see the excitement radiating from her eyes. I love my job. It's such an honor to get to witness these moments.

...and these moments. It was clear that she and her father had a very special relationship.

And then there were all of the parents and grandparents who were waiting in the lobby before the ceremony. Normally I end up falling in love with one of the grandpa's, but this time it was that sweet little lady going halfsies with her husband. I hope I have as much spunk as she does when I am her age. She is truly an inspiration.

This would probably have been my favorite image of the day (at least of the artsy ones), but the windows were obviously dirty. Maybe that makes it more real, though...

It was hot, particularly when you are in a suit! He was a trooper though.

And they already started the marriage out with a smack!

This girl was so adorable!!!

Part 2 to come later...

{O}'s Senior Session

I had the pleasure of meeting {O} and her mom and sister this past spring for O's senior session. She was a trooper on a VERY windy day. It felt as if we were taking pictures during a tornado, well...minus the rain and flying cows. She embraced a few Marilyn Monroe moments and just went with it. Thankfully, we were still able to get some good shots!

My Little Man

I know, I know. This is waaaaay past due, but here is the wonderful thing that happened to our family this past November. For starters, I thought I should post a few pictures we took of my enormous belly shortly before our second baby graced us with his presence. I am short and have a tiny frame, so yes, my belly got HUGE.

Isn't she just precious??? We were a little worried about how she would feel about her little brother once he came since most of the time when we mentioned it, she would respond with something like, "I don't think I want a brother," or "Maybe it will be a cat."

I had this wonderful idea that involved a big red balloon, but having a rather uncooperative toddler for a very specific idea and running back and forth between the tripod and where I wanted to be...this was what we got instead. Shortly after tragedy ensued and there were more than a few tears as we watched the balloon make it's dramatic exit into the clouds. I know, you are wondering, her tears or mine. Well, I'm not telling.

My absolute favorite. *sigh*

And then he came. All 9lbs 1oz of him. I grow big babies. Which is why my two year old looks like she's three and is already over three feet tall. Was I surprised? No, I was not. Do they get this from me? Ummm...is that question even necessary?

1 month...

2 months...

And that's all for now, but you get the idea. He just hit 6 months a little while ago and is a very proficient army crawler now. Of course, that means nothing is safe anymore, much to my daughter's dismay, who, in case you were wondering absolutely adores "her Ian".
